SUMMER/FALL CAMPS
Why not spend a week at science camp, learning a semester's worth of science and having some end of summer fun? Camps run from 9-3 daily for ages 6-14. Snacks will be provided, but you will need to send lunch each day.
We will spend the morning learning about the day's topic, running experiments, playing games, creating notebooks, and more. After a break for lunch, we'll wrap up our final science activities for the day and then have about 1.5 hours to swim before pick up. There will be a Red Cross certified lifeguard present at all times during the camps.

Nature Explorations
1st or 2nd Fridays 10 a.m. (1.5-2 hours). Science in Nature Class, held at local Livermore parks. We will explore various concepts such as how birds eat, adaptations for winter, the components of an ecosystem, and how to identify local trees through hands-on activities, games, and nature journaling. One price for the whole family (all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
3rd or 4th Fridays 10 a.m. (2-3 hours). Friday Field Trips! We will explore science in nature out on the trails of the East Bay and beyond. There will be a brief introduction and suggestions for a nature journal page at the start of each field trip, but most of our time will be spent hiking and seeing science in action. This year we plan to visit parks in Fremont, San Ramon, Berkeley, Livermore, and San Francisco. One price for the whole family (all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
Please see the Nature Explorations page for this semester's details.

*There is some flexibility for the ages and classes, so please talk to me if you need a different time, but I will be teaching the Wednesday Lower Elementary class especially aimed at the younger kids (lots of playing, exploring, getting used to basic concepts) and the other two classes will be targeted to more mature students (Don’t worry--we still have a lot of fun!)
